Back in Alaska

It was so exciting to return to this wonderful state! I couldn't wait to drive out along Turnagain Arm and see the ocean with those huge, majestic mountains!

Larry and I drove out to Girdwood, which is a small town located about 35-40 miles South of Anchorage. Alaska's main ski area is located there and it is named Alyeska. We had lunch there and enjoyed the scenery. The weather has been rainy (just as I remembered it), but I guess that's how this area stays so lush.

At the end of the day, we decided to try out a Mexican restaurant in Anchorage. Larry and I both had never been there. It was GREAT! And of course we were forced to drink a coupe of margaritas! This picture is right out in front of the restaurant. Our waitress came and got us to look at the beautiful sunset.
